Triaging and Stabilising Medical Emergencies

Effective triage is a vital nursing skill - it's our job to promptly assess these patients, prioritise their care, and stabilise their vital organs (aka their major body systems).

In this workshop, we'll look at how we perform this triage. We'll look at the different changes we see to our cardiovascular, respiratory and neurological systems, and how we stabilise these systems.

Lastly, we'll use the 'ACRASHPLAN' mnemonic to look at what we do after our patient's most urgent problems are dealt with.

You'll leave the session feeling way more confident about assessing and stabilising your emergency patients - regardless of their disease process!
