Want to start looking at blood smears but not sure what you're seeing?!
Blood smear examination is one of the most fun and satisfying skills we can use as vet nurses... when we're given the opportunity.
Unfortunately though, most of the time we don't get to do it... Either because we think "it's a vet's job" or we're not confident in what we're looking at.

The good news? That changes TODAY.

In this highly practical session, we'll chat through EVERYTHING you need to know to feel confident making diagnostic smears (even when your patient's blood is being a pain), looking at them, and figuring out exactly what those cells are telling you.

There's absolutely no reason we can't take the lead in looking at these and giving that information to our vets. Yet most of the time we aren't - instead, we feel like we don't know enough, and this stops us from using our skills.

If we're never given the opportunity to practice these skills, we'll never develop them, or feel confident using them in practice - and that's exactly what we're changing in this webinar.
At the end of the session, you will be able to:
  • Create a great diagnostic quality blood smear, consistently (no more bad blood smear days!!)
  • Tailor your approach to making smears for challenging samples, such as anaemic patients with watery blood
  • Identify normal and abnormal red blood cells
  • Identify different white blood cells
  • Identify normal and abnormal platelets, including artefacts, and count platelet numbers
  • Understand what all of this means for your patient, and how to evaluate smear findings and present them to the vet
